First Responder Instructor Development

 

Candidates will be taught how to plan, organize and teach the Emergency Response course. This program is based on the mentorship process, by which the instructor candidate participates in at least one First Responder class. In addition, upon successful completion, candidates will be able to teach Health Care Provider CPR, Preventing Disease Transmission, Automated External Defibrillation and Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer. 

 

With additional orientations, candidates can also be eligible to teach, First Aid, Adult, Infant and Child CPR, modules.
 


Prerequisites: Must hold a current certification as a First Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or other similar EMS certification.

 

Cost : $100.00

 

Class Length: Varies on experience of individual, usually about 50 hours
